CLINTON, Miss. --- Mississippi College took care of business on Saturday in exhibition play, defeating Millsaps by a final of 81-58 at A.E. Wood Coliseum.
Mississippi College was led by Darrius Clark with 19 points on 6-of-8 shooting in the contest. Clark also had seven rebounds in the game and one steal.Â
The Choctaws outscored the Majors 46-33 in the first half of action, before taking complete control in the second half by outscoring the Majors 35-25 to win 83-58.
MC was 8-of-19 from three point range in the victory, while also shooting 52.6 percent from the field. The Choctaw out rebounded the Majors 39-30 in the paint.
Tradavis Thompson finished second on the afternoon with 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting. Thompson led MC with four steals while putting together five assists and four rebounds in a team, best 33 minutes on the floor.
Bee McCrary and Anthony Ratliff each posted 10 points in the win with Ratliff leading MC with nine total rebounds on the day.Â
Mississippi College is 1-1 in exhibition play in 2022, and will continue exhibition action on Monday night on the road at Louisiana Tech. The two teams are set to tip-off beginning at 6:30 p.m. in Ruston, La.Â
