CLINTON, Miss.--- The 2-seed Mississippi College women's soccer team knocked off 7-seed Christian Brothers 3-0 on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 30th).

Avery Hederman scored the goals for MC. MC will now head to the GSC semifinals next weekend. The Lady Choctaws improve to 14-3-1 (10-2-1 GSC), while CBU finishes up their season 9-6-3 (6-4-3 GSC).
Erin Hederman struck first with the lone goal of the 1st half.
Avery Hederman played the ball forward to her sister, who back-heeled it home in the 8th minute to put MC ahead 1-0. The goal marks the 13th of the season for
Erin Hederman.
That 1-0 scoreline would remain for the rest of the 1st half. In the opening half, MC outshod the Lady Bucs 14-3. The Lady Choctaws also held a 6-1 edge in shots on goal.
Beatrice Currie and
Avery Hederman scored goals in the 2nd half to put the match away for MC.
Her first goal came in the 51st minute.
Avery Hederman played a long ball forward that Currie got on the end of, and Currie expertly put the ball home to double the lead to 2-0. Currie now moves to 15 on the season, which remains the most on the team and among the tops in the conference.
Avery Hederman then put the match away in the 61st minute as she pushed MC's lead to 3-0.

Avery Hederman's two assists on the afternoon adds to her single-season school record as she now has 16 on the season, which still leads the conference.
Overall for the match, MC outshot CBU 26-5. MC also held a 12-1 advantage in shots on goal.
Next up, the Lady Choctaws will head into the GSC semifinals. MC will play the winner of 3-seed West Alabama vs. 6-seed Delta State next Friday evening (Nov. 4th) at 6:00 pm in Huntsville, Ala.
