CLINTON, Miss. --- For the third time in four seasons, the Mississippi College softball team has advanced to NCAA Division II postseason, heading to Valodsta, Ga. for the South Regional, hosted by Valdosta State University (May 19-22).

The Lady Choctaws (21-20, 14-14 GSC), the #6 seed in the regional, will face #16 UAH (31-12, 23-7 GSC), who comes in as the #3 seed, at 2:30 pm (CT) on Wednesday (May 19). MC is 4-0 this season against the Chargers, sweeping a regular season series in Clinton and picking up a 4-3 win in the GSC Tournament last week.

Five of the six teams in the South Regional are from the Gulf South Conference, led by Auburn Montgomery (39-5, 25-5 GSC), who has won 19 straight games and won the conference tournament championship over the Lady Choctaws.

Also joining AUM, MC and UAH from the GSC are #2 seed Valdosta State and #5 seed West Florida. The final team in the regional is Rollins (19-2, 16-2 SSC), the #4 seed from the Sunshine State Conference.

Every game of the tournament will feature Live Video and Live Stats. All links and a full schedule can be found on the TOURNAMENT HOMEPAGE.

The Lady Choctaws earned an at-large berth into the tournament following a fast finish to the regular season with a sweep of West Georgia and an appearance in the GSC Tournament championship game.

The winner of the week's tournament earns a spot in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship in Denver, Colo. (May 27-30).
