Women's Soccer Preparing to Host 1st Round of GSC Tournament

CLINTON, Miss---The Mississippi College women's soccer team is the #2 seed and will host the quarterfinals of the GSC tournament on Sunday afternoon (Nov. 7) at 1:00 pm. The Lady Choctaws will host the #7 seed University of West Alabama at Longabaugh Field. For more information about the GSC Tournament, please visit the GSC homepage HERE. 

For Sunday's match, tickets will be $5 for adults and $2 for students. Mississippi College students will be admitted for free with their MC ID.

The winner of Sunday's match will advance to the GSC Semifinals to face the winner of the #3 seed Delta State vs. #6 seed West Georgia. That semifinal match will be Thursday (Nov. 11) at Ashton Brosnaham Park in Pensacola, Fla. The GSC tournament championship match is scheduled for Saturday (Nov. 13) and will also be in Pensacola. Lee University is the #1 seed in the tournament and the top seed in the other side of the bracket.

The Lady Choctaws got the #2 seed after going 10-3 in GSC play in the regular season. The Lady Choctaws are looking to win their 1st GSC Tournament in program history (not counting last season's GSC Spring Championship Series tournament title). MC was ranked 4th in the south region in the latest NCAA Division II Region Rankings. The top 6 in the south region qualify for the NCAA tournament. The winner of the GSC tournament receives an auto-bid into the NCAA tournament.
