BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---Mississippi College Junior defender Joshua Davies has been named GSC Defender of the Week for his efforts this past weekend in MC's wins over Christian Brothers (Friday, October 22nd) and Union (Sunday, October 24th).

Davies scored two goals in MC's blowout win over Union on Sunday while also helping lead an MC defensive unit that did not concede a goal in either match on the weekend. Davies tallied 148 minutes played over the course of the two games (played the full 90 minutes in Friday's game). 

Davies is the 2nd men's soccer player to win a GSC Player of the Week honor this season, joining Noah Wagner (Offensive Player of the Week, Sept. 20-26).

The Choctaws will be back in action this weekend as they host Spring Hill on Friday afternoon (Oct. 29th) and West Florida on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 31). Each match is scheduled for 3:00 pm.
