Choctaws Battle to 4-3 Win at Spring Hill

MOBILE, Ala. --- The Mississippi College men's tennis team wrapped up their Spring Break trip to Mobile with a 4-3 win over Spring Hill on Monday morning.

The Choctaws improved to 4-4, while the Badgers fell to 10-3.
 

DOUBLES ACTION
  - The Choctaws appeared on their way to the doubles point as Ben Jarvis and Maksym Konovalov picked up a 6-2 win at the #3 position.
  - The Badgers responded, however, with a 6-4 victory at #2 to pull even.
  - The #1 match when into a tie-breaker with Spring Hill coming away with the 7-6 (7-4) victory to grab the 1-0 advantage early.
 

SINGLES ACTION
  - Brady McDaniel got the point back in quick fashion with a straight-set victory (6-0, 6-1) at the #6 position.
  - Francois Le Tallec gave MC their first lead of the day with a 6-2, 6-3 win at #1, improving his singles record to 6-1 on the year.
  - The Badgers jumped back ahead with wins at #2 and #4 to sit within one victory of claiming the match.
  - Shane Samyn came up big with a straight-set victory (7-6 (7-5), 6-2) at #3 and brought the match down to the #5 slot.
  - Matias Ballatore needed three sets, but he clinched the victory with a 7-5, 4-6, 10-5 victory at #5.
 

NEXT UP
  - The Choctaws have 11 days off before they are back in action on March 21st at Montevallo and March 22nd at UAH.
