CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College Women's Tennis team topped the Patriots of Dallas Baptist University this afternoon by a final score of 6-1. The Choctaws will improve to 7-4 overall and the Patriots will fall to 11-5 on the year.

This was the fourth match in five days for the Lady Choctaws and with the victory over Dallas Baptist today the women's team finishes that stretch with a 3-1 record. Highlights include Graduate Senior Sofia Gonzalez-Carrera returning from injury to pick up her first two singles victories of the year. The team's second clean sweep of the year in the Monday victory over Spring Hill, and today's big time win over a great opponent in Dallas Baptist.    

MC will have a short break before returning to action on Wednesday March 20 as they travel to Lorman, Miss. to face Alcorn State in a rescheduled contest from earlier in the year.
