PENSACOLA, Fla. --- The Mississippi College men's soccer team was eliminated from the Gulf South Conference Tournament with a 2-1 loss in overtime to Lee on Friday afternoon at Ashton Brosnaham Park.
The Choctaws (9-2-5) suffered their first loss since September 22nd when they fell to LSU-Alexandria, 2-1. The Flames (11-4-4) will advance to the GSC Tournament Championship Match for the first time in school history, facing the winner of West Florida and UAH at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 - The Flames jumped out to a quick lead as Samaan Williams scored his second goal of the season in the 5th minute, getting behind the MC defense for the 1-0 advantage.
 - The Choctaws took advantage of a Lee mishap in the 27th minute as a defender played the ball backwards past the goalkeeper and into the net to tie the game at 1-1.
 - The match would go into the half tied a 1-1 and the second half would be scoreless, propelling the match into overtime.
 - The Choctaws had an opportunity in the 95th minute when
Gonzalo Carrasco found a shot, but it went wide left.
 - The Flames scored the game-winner in the 98th minute as Williams scored his second of the match on an assist from his brother Samir Williams.

 - The Flames outshot the Choctaws by a count off 11-9, including putting five shots on goal to just two for MC.
 - Sophomore
Guilherme Santos and junior
Antoine Recizac each led the team with two shots apiece.
 - Goalkeeper
Alejandro Chavarria made three saves for MC, while Daniel Hrenko stopped two shots for the Flames.
