CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College men's soccer team is back in action this Sunday as they travel to Texarkana, Texas for a neutral site matchup with Ouachita Baptist University at 3:00 p.m. The match was originally scheduled to be played in Arkadelphia but was moved due to rain from Tropical Storm Gordon.
MC NOTES
- The Choctaws are bringing in a record of 1-1-0 into this second week of the season.
- MC opened up the 2018 season with a 3-1 victory over Nova Southeastern and then fell to Barry in overtime by a score of 2-1.
- Senior forward
Joshua Robinson is the current leading goal-scorer for the Choctaws with two so far this season. MC currently has three Choctaws tied for the team lead in assists. Graduate transfer

Abel Perez and freshman
Guilherme Santos each have one assist so far.
- Robinson was awarded Gulf South Conference Player of the Week for the first week of the season. It is Robinson's first player of the week selection in his MC career and he is the first Choctaw to receive the honor since
Marco Profumo on Sept. 26 2017.
- In goal the Choctaws got a solid debut from senior transfer
Keaton Halbert. Halbert had 11 saves on the weekend on 32 shots faced.
OUACHITA BAPTIST NOTES
- The Tigers will also bring an unblemished record into Sunday's match against the Choctaws posting a record of 1-0-1 so far this season.
- The Tigers opened the 2018 season with a 1-1 tie against Dallas Baptist University and then picked up a 2-0 win in their second game of 2018 against Rodgers State University out of Oklahoma.
- Three Tigers are currently tied for the team lead in goals scored. Senior Joey Zerbo, junior Abraham Lazo, and senior Colten Clark all have one goal so far in 2018.
- The Tigers only have one assist has a team so far in 2018. Junior Hector Duron recorded the lone assist on the season for OBU.
SERIES HISTORY
- MC will bring in an all-time record of 4-1 against Ouachita Baptist. Sunday's match will be the first meeting of the teams since the Choctaws scored a 4-2 victory over the Tigers a year ago.
