CLINTON, Miss --- The Mississippi College women's soccer team will travel to Cleveland, Miss. this Friday September 21 to face rival Delta State in Gulf South Conference play.

MC NOTES
- The Lady Choctaws are coming off a great opening weekend in GSC play as they took down West Alabama last Friday and then UAH last Sunday.
- MC's defense has been impressive in their last three matches, The Lady Choctaws haven't allowed a goal in the last 270 minutes and are outscoring opponents over this stretch 7-0.
- The anchor of the Lady Choctaw defense
Gabby Kayser has been solid in goal recording 13 saves over the three match shutout stretch. Kayser was also named the GSC Defender of the week for her efforts over the opening weekend of conference play.

Jess Davenport has emerged as the leading goal scorer early this season. Davenport had a goal in both matches over the GSC opening weekend and has scored three goals total on the season.
- Along with Davenport, the Lady Choctaws have spread the wealth offensively with seven different players scoring goals this season.

- MC's offense currently has two Lady Choctaws tied for the lead in assists so far. Pascoe and freshman
Marisa Saunders have both recorded two assists.

DELTA STATE NOTES
- The Lady Statesmen are bringing in an overall record of 2-2-1 and 1-1 in GSC play into Friday's match against the Lady Choctaws. DSU was able to beat UAH last Friday 1-0 in Overtime and then fell last Sunday to West Alabama by a score of 3-0.
- Delta State has only netted four goals so far in 2018, the Lady Statesmen have four players tied for the lead in goals scored. L. T. Massey, Chelsie Hurren, Jasmine McGill and Anoucke Baas all have scored one goal this season.
- The Lady Statesmen are being outscored by opponents so far this season eight to four and being outshot 92 to 57.
SERIES HISTORY Â Â
- MC will be bringing in an all-time record of 6-0-0 against Delta State. The last meeting against the in-State rival ended in a 4-0 victory for the Lady Choctaws.
- The Lady Choctaws have outscored the Lady Statesmen 20 to 5 all-time.
