CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's tennis team saw their season-opening win streak improve to 10 games with their 9-0 shutout win over Delta State in Gulf South Conference action on Wednesday afternoon. With the win, the Lady Choctaw's record sits at 10-0 overall, and 5-0 in GSC play.
In doubles, the duo of
Brenna Keller and
AnneMarie Kimball saw their 2018 record improve to a perfect 10-0 with their 8-1 ousting of Jemina Sorman and Ione' Deroode in the number one flight. The double's sweep marked for the 6th time this season that the Lady Choctaws took all three possible double's points.
In singles, A. Kimball and
Aneta Golawska both saw their single's record improve to 10-0 on the year with their victories in their respective matchups.
Sofia Gonzalez-Carrera improved her single's record to 9-1, while RebeccaGrace Kimball and
Nicole Bueno both improved to 8-1 on the season in single's action.
The Lady Choctaws will return to action on Friday, March 9 when they travel to Mobile, Ala. to take on #20 ranked NAIA-opponent University of Mobile. Match time is slated for 12:00 p.m.
