MOBILE, Ala. --- The Mississippi College women's tennis team picked up their 12th consecutive win to open up the 2018 season, knocking off Spring Hill College 9-0 on Monday afternoon. With the, the Lady Choctaws record comes to 12-0 on the year.
In doubles,
AnneMarie Kimball and Sofia Gonzaleaz-Carrera, and
Karly Matthews and
Katie Reid both saw their records as duos improve to 2-0 on the season.
Aneta Golawska and
Tori Roberts improved to 9-3 as pair with their 8-0 win over Brenda Carrada Elizabeth Peters at the number two flight.
In singles, all six of the Lady Choctaws bested their opponents in straight sets. Both A. Kimball and
Aneta Golawska saw their single's record improve to a team-best 12-0 with wins in their matchups. Kimball made her season debut at the number two flight with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Brenda Carrada, while Golawska made her season debut at the number three flight with a 6-0, 6-0 defeat of Alexandria Rayford.
The Lady Choctaws will return to action on Saturday, March 24 when they host Christian Brothers University in GSC action. Match time is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.
