CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's tennis team opened up Gulf South Conference play with a 9-0 win over West Georgia on Sunday afternoon. With the win, MC improves to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in GSC play.

In doubles play,
Brenna Keller and
AnneMarie Kimball (8-1), and
Aneta Golawska and
Tori Roberts (8-1) both improved to a team-best 2-0 with their victories at the doubles number one and two spots.

In singles play, the Lady Choctaws put together a flawless performance on the day. MC did not drop a single set to the Lady Wolves.

Aneta Golawska (6-4, 6-2)
AnneMarie Kimball (6-1, 6-0) and
RebeccaGrace Kimball (6-1, 6-1) all improved to 2-0 with their straight-set singles victories.
Sofia Gonzalez-Carrera (6-2, 6-0) and
Brenna Keller (6-2, 6-0) both also knocked off their opponents in straight sets.

The Lady Choctaws will return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 21 when they travel to Lorman, Miss. to face off against Division I Alcorn State. Match time is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
