Women's Soccer Finishes 2018 Season Ranked 14th in Final National Poll

CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's soccer team finishes the 2018 season nationally ranked in the Division II United Soccer Coaches Poll. The Lady Choctaws checked in at 14th in the final poll, it was announced Wednesday December 5th.

The Lady Choctaws started the season ranked in the Division II United Soccer Coaches Pre-Season Poll at 18th but fell out of the poll after an early loss. MC then returned to the poll at 22nd and was able to reach as high as 20th before earning a birth in the NCAA Women's Soccer National Championship Tournament.

In the NCAA Tournament the Lady Choctaws had a historic run making it further than ever before in program history. MC made its first Sweet Sixteen appearance and earned the program's first two victories in the NCAA Tournament which was the catalyst to them moving up to 14th in the final national poll.

The Lady Choctaws will look to continue their program success off the field in the classroom and recruiting until they take the pitch next season in 2019.
