CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's soccer team is back in Gulf South Conference play this weekend when they host West Georgia on Friday Oct. 12 and then Valdosta State on Sunday Oct. 14 at Robert P. Longabaugh Field.
MC NOTES
- The #20 nationally ranked Lady Choctaws will bring in an overall record of 9-1-0 and a GSC record of 7-0.
- MC is coming off of a successful two game road stretch, with a 4-1 victory over Christian Brothers last Friday and a 1-0 victory over Union last Sunday.

Rita Okoro was the star over the weekend with a two goal performance in the big victory over Christian Brothers. Okoro now has three goals on the year.
- The Lady Choctaws have two players tied for the team lead in goals scored so far this season.
Jess Davenport and Emma Furman lead the way with four goals apiece. Â
- MC has been impressive this season in both phases of the game, the team is outscoring opponents 22 to 6 on the year and the team has posted six shutouts thanks to their stellar defense.
WEST GEORGIA NOTES
- The Wolves will bring in an overall record of 4-6-2 and a GSC record of 4-3.
- West Georgia is coming off of a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Valdosta State last Sunday, and are 0-3 against ranked teams this season.
- The top two play makers for the Wolves are Hilary Resendiz and Jazmine Santiago. Resendiz is the team's leading goal scorer with three goals on the year and Santiago has netted two goals with two assists on the season.
VALDOSTA STATE NOTES
- The Blazers are bring in an overall record of 7-4-0 and a GSC record of 5-2.
- VSU will bring a dangerous offensive attack to Clinton on Sunday, the team has score 25 goals on the season.
- The top two players to watch for the Blazers are Ashley Lewis and Mallory McDaniel. Lewis is having an unbelievable year to this point, scoring nine goals and notching two assists. McDaniel has been able to make things happen when the ball is on her foot, with three goals and three assists on the year.
SERIES HISTORY
- The Lady Choctaws will bring in an all-time record of 4-0-1 against West Georgia, with the last meeting between the pair ending in a 1-0 victory in overtime for MC in Carrollton, Ga. last year.
- MC has an all-time record of 3-0-1 against the Blazers and the last meeting between the two ended in a 1-0 victory for the Lady Choctaws in Valdosta, Ga. a year ago.

- Both matches are currently scheduled for a 1:00 P.M. start time and will take place at Robert P. Longabaugh Field on the campus of Mississippi College.
