CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's tennis team celebrated Senior Day on Sunday afternoon with an 8-1 victory over Gulf South Conference opponent University of Alabama in Huntsville. With the win, the Lady Choctaws improve to 11-7 overall, and 6-3 in GSC play.

In single's action,
AnneMarie Kimball notched her team-leading 10
th victory of the season over Cristina Cabanas in the number two matchup (1-5, retired).
Aneta Golawska bested Aniek Remmerswaal in straight sets in the number three matchup (6-2, 6-3); while
Brenna Keller (4-6, 6-0, 14-12)
Sofia Gonzalez-Carrera (6-2, 5-7, 10-6) and
Anna Shuliak (3-6, 7-6 (7-3), 11-9) all outlasted their opponents in three-set matchups.

In doubles, Kimball and Keller (8-3) and Shuliak and
Christa Owen (8-1) all improved to 2-0 as duos with their respected victories.

The Lady Choctaws will return to action on Wednesday, April 12 when they host Loyola University in a nonconference match beginning at 2:00 p.m.
