CLEVELAND, Tenn. --- Due to heavy downpours in the area this weekend, Sunday's softball game between Mississippi College and Lee have been canceled. The teams are now scheduled to play a doubleheader on Monday at 10:00 am (CT) at Butler Field.

The games were originally scheduled for a Saturday doubleheader and Sunday single game but the schedule was altered earlier in the week. With the weather coming through over the weekend, the teams attempted to schedule a single game on Sunday but were forced to cancel.

With both teams tied in the Gulf South Conference standings with just two weekends remaining, the series is important to help decide seeding in the postseason tournament scheduled for the first week of May.
