- Lee would come home to score on a West Alabama error, and MC would take a 4-1 lead.
- After a quick second inning from Nichols, the Lady Choctaws blew the game open in the third with five runs, highlighted by RBI singles from Harmon and senior Haley Thompson.
- In the third, MC took advantage of five hits and four errors by the Tigers to take the 9-1 advantage.
- Despite the Tigers scoring in the bottom of the fifth to extend the game, MC would push the lead back out to 11-2 with two runs in the sixth.
