ARKADELPHIA, Ark. --- The Mississippi College women's tennis team wrapped up day number two of the Ouachita Baptist Tournament with a 5-4 victory over Maryville University and a 8-1 win against Ouachita Baptist. With the victories, MC improves their record to 3-3 on the year.

MATCH ONE VS. MARYVILLE UNIVERSITY

MC grabbed two of the three possible points in doubles action.
Brenna Keller and
Aneta Golawska knocked off Puck Vlaskamp and Rebekah Anderson 8-3 in the doubles #1 matchup. Â
AnneMarie Kimball and
Anna Shuliak defeated Andrea Fandino and Lina Kunert 8-5 in the doubles #2 matchup for MC's other doubles point.

In singles action,
Brenna Keller bested Sarah Etter in straight sets in the singles #1 matchup (6-4, 6-1). In the singles #2 matchup, Kimball edged Vlaskamp in three sets (1-6, 7-5, 10-7).

With the score tied at four apiece, it was
Katie Reid who grabbed the match-clinching fifth point for the Lady Choctaws. Reid dropped the first set 7-6 (1-7), but rallied to win the next two sets against and clinch the match for the Lady Choctaws (6-4, 10-6).

MC was able to grab all three points in doubles play, led by Keller and Golawska's 8-6 victory over Mallory Tabler and Kendra Densmore in the doubles #1 matchup.

In singles action, Kimball (8-2), Owen (8-2),
Courtney Schrock (8-0) and
Karly Matthews (8-1) all won their matchups in dominant fashion; with each Lady Choctaw winning by at least six sets.

The Lady Choctaws will return to action on March 1, when they travel to Livingston, Ala. to take on West Alabama in their first GSC match of the season. Match time is slated for 2:00 p.m.
