CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College men's soccer team will wrap up regular-season play this weekend, when they host Gulf South Conference opponents Montevallo on Friday, Oct. 20 and Auburn University at Montgomery on Sunday, Oct. 22 for Senior Day.

MC NOTES
- The Choctaws (9-2-2, 6-2-1 GSC) head into this weekend's matchups in second place in the GSC standings. A win this weekend for MC would clinch a berth in the GSC Postseason Tournament.
- In their most recent match, the Choctaws bested Delta State 2-1 on Sunday, Oct. 20 in Clinton, Miss.
- The Choctaws were receiving votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II National poll, while being ranked fourth in the South Region.
- The Choctaw offense currently paces the GSC in shots taken (230), shots per game (17.69) and shots on goal (99).
- MC has netted 24 goals in 13 matches, for an average of 1.85 per contest. Senior
Horacio Gutierrez Jr. leads the Choctaw attack with five goals scored on the season.

Jacob Farthing currently leads the Choctaws in total points (13), assists (5) and game-winning goals (3) on the season. Farthing's five assists ranks for second in the conference, while his three game-winning strikes ties for best in the GSC.
- On defense, the Choctaws are currently averaging one goal allowed per game, having given up 13 in 13 contests.Â

Humberto Pelaez (9-2-2) sports a goals against average of 0.95, while his four shutouts recorded on the season rank for fourth in the conference.

MONTEVALLO NOTES
- The Falcons (6-3-3, 3-1-3 GSC) currently sits in the final sixth place spot to be eligible for postseason play in the GSC.
- Montevallo defeated Shorter University 2-0, and tied 2-2 with Lee University in their most recent matches this past weekend.
- The Falcon attack that is currently averaging 2 goals per contest on the year is spearheaded by Lukas Hauer and Cesare Marconi, who have each netted a team-best five goals on the season. Liam Moore's four assists marks for a team-high and rank tied for fourth among GSC players.
- On defense, the Montevallo has surrendered 11 goals in 12 matches, for an average of 0.92 goals allotted per game.
- Goalkeeper Robert Kuta's (6-3-3) six shutouts ranks first among GSC keepers, while his 0.876 save percentage ranks second in the conference.

AUM NOTES
- The Warhawks, (1-13, 1-6 GSC) fell to Lee University 4-0 and knocked off Shorter University 4-2 in their most recent matches this past weekend.
- The Warhawks have scored nine goals in 14 contests, for an average of 0.64 per match.
- Tiuri Schieving paces AUM's offense, with three goals scored on the year. Jesus Escalera's three assists on the season marks for a team high for the Warhawks.
- On defense, AUM is currently averaging 4.07 goals allowed per game, having given up 57 in 14 matches on the year.
- Goalkeeper Stephen Ingram has seen the bulk of playing time in net for the Warhawks, while posting 65 saves on the season and compiling a goal's against average of 4.38 on the year.
- Prior to Sunday's match with MC, the Warhawks will travel to Cleveland, Miss. on Friday to take on Delta State in GSC action.

SERIES HISTORY
- The Choctaws match with Montevallo on Friday will serve as the first meeting between the two, while MC brings an all-time record of 0-1 against AUM into Sunday's game.
In their only meeting ever in 2016, MC fell 4-3 to the Warhawks.
