CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's soccer team will take on two Gulf South Conference opponents this weekend. They play host to Union University on Friday, and will travel to Memphis, Tenn. to square off against Christian Brothers on Sunday.
The Lady Choctaws head into the weekend with an over record of 4-2, and a GSC record of 1-0. The ladies opened up conference play this past Sunday with a win over in-state rival Delta State 3-1.
Sophomore forward
Jess Davenport leads all Lady Choctaws with four goals scored on the year; a mark that is tied for third most in the entire GSC.
Lauren Smith two goals on the season find her in second place on the team. She notched both of those scores in the victory over DSU on Sunday.

Kyra Montes,
Emma Claire Furman,
Samantha Carson,
Hannah Bailey and
Daisy Rodgers have all scored goals for MC so far this season.
Lauren Kate Carter's three assists serves as the team-high in that stat category. Davenport, Hayes, Furman, Montes,
Meghan Mauzy,
Katie Taylor and
Madison Leonard have all contributed for an assist as well.
In goal,
Andrea McDonald has converted 14 saves on 20 opportunities. The sophomore goalie posts a save percentage of 70 percent on the year, and is holding opponents to just 1.24 goals per contest.
The Lady Choctaws are 1-0-1 all-time versus Union, and 1-2 versus Christian Brothers.
