MOBILE, Ala. --- The Mississippi College women's tennis team picked up their second straight sweep with a 9-0 win over Spring Hill College on Tuesday afternoon.

The Lady Choctaws (5-4) wrapped up their spring break trip with three straight wins, taking down Mobile, McMurry and the Badgers (4-9).

Juniors Christa Owen and Courtney Schrock got things started with an 8-0 win at the #3 position. MC dropped just three total doubles games on their way to a 3-0 advantage.

In singles action, sophomore Brenna Keller (#1) and junior Laura VanHorn (#5) each won their matches without dropping a game.

Freshman Anna Shuliak (#3) lost just one game, while sophomore Katie Reid (#2) and sophomore Karly Matthews (#6) lost just two total games. Owen finished the sweep, winning by retirement after taking the first game.

The Lady Choctaws will be back in action on Sunday when they host LSU-Shreveport at 2:00 p.m. at the MC Tennis Complex.
