ROME, Ga. --- The Mississippi College women's tennis team dropped a shortened match to Shorter, 5-0, on Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Choctaws (7-6, 2-3 GSC) and the Hawks (8-7, 5-3 GSC) played their doubles matches at the Walt Attaway Tennis Complex before moving indoors have rain entered the area.

Shorter took a 3-0 lead after doubles action, as sophomore Brenna Keller and freshman Anna Shuliak played the tightest match at #1, falling 8-5.

Only two singles matches were completed as Shorter won the #1 and #2 matches in straight sets.

The Lady Choctaws will be back in action on Thursday for their final home match of the season, hosting rival Delta State at 2:00 p.m. at the MC Tennis Complex.
