CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's tennis team started fast, but West Alabama came back to pick up a 7-2 victory on Wednesday afternoon at the MC Tennis Complex.
The Lady Choctaws (2-4, 1-1 GSC) opened the match with two doubles win, giving them an early 2-1 advantage. Sophomore

Ashley Ochsenhirt led the way with an 8-3 win at #3.

Christa Owen and sophomore
Sofia Gonzalez-Carrera won the #2 point by a score of 8-5, while the Tigers (4-1, 2-1 GSC) won the #1 doubles match by a score of 8-6.
In singles action, UWA came all the way back and won all six singles matches in straight sets. Sophomore
Katie Reid played the tightest match, winning nine games at the #2 spot.
The Lady Choctaws will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Mobile, Ala. to face the University of Mobile at 10:00 a.m.
