CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's soccer team will play host to the Wolves of West Georgia University on Tuesday in the opening round of the GSC Postseason Tournament.
The Lady Choctaws wrapped up their regular season with a 7-0 victory against Spring Hill on Sunday. The win gave MC a final record of 12-4-1 overall, and 9-2-1 in GSC play. With additional recent victories over Shorter and West Florida, the Lady Choctaws come into Tuesday's contest riding a three-match win streak.
MC heads into Tuesday's contest averaging 16.7 shots and 2.18 goals per contest. They are led offensively by
Lauren Smith, whose seven goals and 16 points leads all Lady Choctaws.
On defense, the Lady Choctaws are allowing only 8.5 shots and 0.88 goals from their opponents.
Andrea McDonald posts a record of 9-4-1 on the season in goal, with five shutouts that rank her second in the GSC.

Caitlin Hayes,
Lauren Kate Carter and
Gaylynn Cooper were selected as members of the GSC All-Conference Teams for their efforts this season. Hayes was named to the GSC All-Conference First Team, while Carter and Cooper grabbed Second Team honors.
Kyra Montes was also honored earlier in the day, being named the GSC Freshman of the Week.
In their last meeting, the Lady Choctaws knocked off West Georgia 2-0 at home earlier in the season. MC brings an all-time record of 2-0-1 versus the Wolves into Tuesday's contest.
The winner of Tuesday's game will travel to Pensacola, Fla. to take on Lee University on Friday, Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the GSC Postseason Tournament Semifinals.
