CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College men's soccer team will open up a four-match homestand beginning with Spring Hill on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at Longabaugh Field.
The Choctaw (0-4, 0-1 GSC) offense is led by junior
Kendall Carballo (Goicoechea, San Jose) who has tallied two goals this season. One score came in the Nova Southeastern game, while the other finish was recorded in the GSC match against Delta State on Wednesday. MC's attack has recorded 29 shots this season.
Leading MC's defense is senior
Josh Barrera (Houston, Texas),
Perry Goldsbury (Derby, England), and
Daniel Lang (Jackson, Miss.) who have kept their opponents to 56 shots. In goal for the Choctaws is sophomore
Humberto Pelaez (Panama City, Panama) who has posted a 2.12 goals against average while making 17 saves.
Spring Hill (1-2) has tallied three goals on the season as Andrew McInnis has put two in the back of the net and Tilman Schober has tallied one score. In the net for the Badgers is Will Carpenter who has faced 57 shots and posted a 1.56 goals against average with 19 saves.
The Choctaws are 4-3 all-time against Spring Hill, winning last season's match against the Badgers 2-0.
