CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College men's soccer team will play their third consecutive home game on Friday at 3:30 p.m. against Barry at Longabaugh Field.
The Choctaws (0-2) have opened their 2015 season with two tough losses against Nova Southeastern, 3-1 and Florida Tech, 1-0.
Kendal Carballo (Goicoechea, San Jose) has had the lone goal for the Choctaws this season off an assist by
Tobias Betz (Munich, Germany) in the game against Nova Southeastern. The Choctaw offense has been outshot by their opponets 32-18.
MC's defense is led by senior
Daniel Lang (Jackson, Miss.),
Perry Goldsbury (Derby England) and sophomore
Elliot Rimmer (Clinton, Miss.).
Humberto Pelaez (Panama City, Panama) has spent all 180 minutes between the posts making 11 saves and allowing four goals.
Barry (1-0-1) travels from Miami Shores, Fla. to Clinton for their first ever meeting against the Choctaws. Thomas Coombes and Patrick Drmola lead the Bucs offense as Coombes has recorded three goals and one helper, while Drmola has tallied two goals this season. Bo Haug is in goal for the Bucs, making five saves and allowing five goals on the season.
This will be the Choctaws last game before their non-conference play begins on Wednesday as they travel to Cleveland, Miss. to face rival Delta State.
