PENSACOLA, Fla. --- The Mississippi College women's tennis team lost to #23 Valdosta State University 5-2 on Friday night at the UWF Tennis Complex.
The Blazers (9-9, 7-2 GSC) grabbed two early points with wins at #1 and #2 doubles. The MC team of junior
Katie Kema and sophomore
Courtney Schrock got the Lady Choctaws (6-6, 2-4 GSC) their first point as VSU forfeited the #3 doubles.
In singles action, MC would get another point as Kema picked up a forfeit win at #6 because of VSU only having five available players.
The Blazers would go on to win three singles matches in straight sets with the other two going unfinished.
The Lady Choctaws will be back in action on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. when they face #8 West Florida.
