Mississippi Colege Athletics

Freshman midfielder Samantha Greco has been named Mississippi College's Female Athlete of the Week for the week of September 30th.  Greco was honored for her efforts this past weekend for the Lady Choctaw soccer team as they went 1-1 in conference play.

Greco, a Hammond, LA native, scored both of the goals for the Choctaws this past weekend.  She scored two goals against University of the Ozarks to come away with a 2-0 win for the Lady Choctaws.  Greco was extremely accurate on the weekend as both of her shots found the back of the net.

Greco, a St. Thomas Aquinas standout, has seen limited action due to injury.  She has started played in 8 games for the Lady Choctaws, starting 5 of them.  She has taken 5 shots on the season, scoring 2 goals and adding an assist. 

Greco and the Lady Choctaws are in action again on Saturday against the Louisian College Wildcats in Pineville, LA.
