Junior defender Carrie Kirk earned ASC Defensive Player of the Week honors for her efforts in a 2-0 week for the Lady Choctaws.  The Madison, MS native led a defense that pitched two shutouts on the week and four in a row to open the year.  Kirk and the back line only allowed seven shots in the two wins over Spelman and Agnes Scott.
