Junior quarterback Adam Shaffer was named preseason ASC Offensive Player of the Year last week, as voted on by league coaches, sports information directors, and media.

Shaffer led the Choctaws to an 8-2 record last season by leading the ASC with 3,497 passing yards and 31 touchdowns compared to 13 interceptions.  The Brandon, MS native rewrote the MC record books last season and is the first MC player to earn the ASC Offensive honor.
