Luke Govero garnered his first Gulf South Conference event title and qualified for the NCAA National Championships with a win in the Decathlon with 6,859 points. The freshman helped lead MC to a fourth place finish at the GSC Championship. The Clinton, Miss., native ranks 11th nationally in the Decathlon. Govero also finished in the top 10 in three other events (110 hurdles, 400 hurdles, long jump) during the Championship.
