Senior Megan Everett helped lead the Mississippi College softball team to a series sweep of West Georgia and their 10th straight victory with a record-setting performance last weekend.
The Pearland, Texas native became MC Softball's all-time career leader in games played (185) and at-bats (566), while going 5-for-7 with four runs scored and an RBI in the series. In Friday's doubleheader, she went 4-for-4 with three runs scored and two walks.
On the season, Everett has heated up as of late, improving her batting average 82 points over the past eight games. During MC's current 10-game winning streak, she has tallied 12 hits and six RBI and seven runs scored.
Everett and the Lady Choctaws have a busy week ahead, playing a mid-week doubleheader on Tuesday (2:00 pm) against William Carey before traveling to face nationally-ranked Valdosta State this weekend.
