Junior Stacey Mack has been named the Mississippi College Wright & Ferguson Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday (Jan. 16).
Mack (McComb, Miss.) averaged 16.7 points and 12.7 rebounds per game over a 1-2 week that saw the Choctaws pick up their first Gulf South Conference win of the season. In the victory over West Georgia, the former McComb High standout scored 22 points with 16 rebounds, going 12-of-13 from the free throw line.
Mack also recorded a double-double on Saturday against North Alabama, scoring 17 points with 11 rebounds. On the week, he went 18-of-22 from the free throw line and 16-of-34 from the field. Mack also pulled down 16 offensive rebounds in the three contests.
Mack and the Choctaws are back on the road this week when they head to West Florida (Jan. 19) and Valdosta State (Jan. 21) for GSC games.
