Carlie Sargent (Oxford, Ala.) tossed the first perfect game in Mississippi College softball history in a 6-0 victory over #25 Alabama Huntsville on Saturday afternoon at Chargers Park. She finished the day with five strikeouts, giving her 300 for her career. Sargent took the loss, 5-6, in the final game of the series against UAH scattering nine hits with five strikeouts and just two earned runs in the loss.
 
So far this season Sargent has pitched 165.2 innings with an overall record of 15-9. Sargent has an earned run average of 1.77.

The Lady Choctaws will close out the regular season on Saturday when they host Lee University for a three-game series, beginning Saturday with a doubleheader at 2:00 p.m.
