The Lady Choctaws picked up a 5-4 win on Tuesday against Delta State. Sophomore Brenna Keller (Meridian, Miss.) and junior Christa Owen got things started with an 8-4 victory at #1. Keller won in singles play with a 3-6, 6-4, 6-0 win.

MC dropped 7-2 to Alabama Huntsville on Saturday. Keller and Owen took the #1 point, however, grabbing a 9-8 (7-4) win. Keller picked up another victory in singles action, winning the #1 point by a score of 7-5, 6-4.

Against Lee, MC jumped out to a 3-0 lead with a sweep of doubles action, led by Keller and Owen with an 8-3 win at #1. In Singles, Keller dropped the final set 6-4. MC took the loss against Lee, 5-4.

The Lady Choctaws close out there 2016 season with an overall record of 8-10 and a Gulf South Conference record of 3-7.
