The Choctaws traveled to Rome, Ga. on Saturday to face Shorter for a three game series.

Samuel Harrison (1-1) pitched the team’s first complete game of the season to open the series against Shorter. The Headland, Ala. native tossed 8.0 innings while posting a season-high 10 strikeouts in the game. He scattered eight hits while allowing four earned runs. The Choctaws took the loss 5-1 against the Hawks.

The Choctaws will be back in action on Tuesday as they host Arkansas-Monticello for a single game at 2:00 p.m. at Frierson Field.
