Senior Kristen Sampson (Jackson, Miss. / Meridian CC) averaged 25.0 points per game, including a career-high 32 against UAH and UNA. She went 11-of-14 from the floor and 9-of-10 from the free throw line, pulling down nine rebounds with six assists in the 91-80 victory over the Lions. Sampson also scored 18 points with five boards against UAH.
So far this season, Sampson ranks 2nd on the team with 15.4 points per game, shooting 50% from the field and 72% from the foul line. She is also 3rd on the team with 5.3 rebounds per game.
Sampson and the Lady Choctaws will hit the road for their longest swing of the season, opening on Saturday (Jan. 9) against Shorter in Rome, Ga.
