Junior forward Phillip Buffington had a great weekend in Abilene, TX for the Choctaws.  Buffington scored three goals on three shots on goal.  Buffington compiled seven shots on the weekend.  His first goal against Hardin-Simmons was the eventual game-winner.  In the loss to McMurry, Buffington scored the lone goal for the Choctaws.

Buffington is leading the conference in shots and goals per game.  He has scored 11 goals in only 10 games this season.  He was picked as the Preseason Offensive Player of the Year in the American Southwest Conference.
