Freshman Jess Davenport (Widness, England) tallied two goals this week including the game winning goal over Valdosta State.

Against West Georgia, the Lady Choctaws (7-1-2, 3-1-1 GSC) took their first lead of the match in the 74th minute when Davenport scored her team-leading sixth goal of the season with a penalty kick to bring the score to 2-1. West Georgia fought back with another finish to bring the final score to 2-2.

The Lady Choctaws pinched a big win over Valdosta State on Sunday afternoon as Sydney Oliver passed it off to Davenport who got by the defense hitting a beautiful ball passed the goalie to find the back of the net in the 52nd minute of play to give MC the win 1-0.

The Lady Choctaws will be on the road next weekend as they travel to Jackson, Tenn. on Friday to face Union at 5:00 p.m.
