Sophomore Kayana Mitchell (Southaven, Miss.) had an impressive week as she had 12 kills against West Alabama on Tuesday. Mitchell was the only Lady Choctaw in the double figures in the match.

The Lady Choctaws picked up their first Gulf South Conference victory on Friday evening against the University of West Georgia 3-1 with the help of Mitchell. Mitchell recorded four blocks in the match, including a pair of block solos with five kills. 

The Lady Choctaws will be back in action on Tuesday as they welcome West Florida to the A.E. Wood Coliseum for a 6:00 p.m. match.
