Senior Sayit Mejia Bello (Bogota, Colombia) led the women's soccer team with one goal and two assists in the 7-0 victory over Belhaven on Thursday.Â
In the 22nd minute of play, Mejia Bello got the scoring going with the eventual game-winner off an assist from junior Madison Leonard (Cantonment, Fla.). Bello recorded a helper in 33rd minute of play as freshman Jess Davenport (Widnes, England) recorded the second goal of the game. Early In the second half Mejia Bello passed it off to freshman Gaylynn Cooper (Jackson, Miss.)  who found the back of the net.
The Lady Choctaws will be back in action on Tuesday as they travel to Cleveland, Miss. to face Delta State at 3:00 p.m. for their first Gulf South Conference game of the season.
