At the South Alabama Invitational freshman Michael Cavonis (Largo, Fla.) got a win for MC with a 1st-place finish in the 400m Dash (49.71). Cavonis helped to lead both relay teams to second place finishes. The 4x100m team of Cavonis, Darius Green, Justin Thomas, and Shawn Robertson tallied a time of 42:29, while the 4x400m team of Cavonis, Terry Lewis, Robertson, and Daniel Burnett had a time of 3:25.68.
The Choctaws will be back in action next weekend for their final regular season at the Choctaw Open, held on Saturday, April 18th at James E. Parkman Track at Robinson-Hale Stadium.
