The Mississippi College softball team took the series against West Alabama as they won the first game 12-3 and dropped the second game 9-2 on Saturday. On Sunday the Lady Choctaws took the second win of the three-game series 15-13.

Senior Karla Beth Hux had an impressive weekend as she led the MC offense in the second game of the series, going 3-for-3 with a home run.She went 6-for-10 on the weekend with three RBI and three runs scored. 

The Lady Choctaws will be back in action on Saturday when they will open a three-game series with Shorter Univeristy, beginning with a doubleheader at 3:00 p.m. at the MC Softball Complex.
