The Mississippi College men's track and field team opened the 2014-2015 indoor season on Friday at the BSC Ice Breaker in Birmingham, Ala. 

Freshman Justin Thomas (Clarksdale, Miss.) led the men's team with a 2nd-place finish in the 60m dash, posting a time of 6.77. The mark was the second-best in school history behind Olympian Larry Myricks, who ran a time of 6.69. Thomas also competed in the 200m dash, recording a time of 22.15 to finish 3rd.  

The Choctaws will be back in action in 2015 when they travel back to Birmingham to compete in the UAB Blazer Inviational on January 8th and 9th.
