Senior baseball player Zach Evans hit his first home run of the season to give the Choctaws a 2-0 win over #12 Concordia Texas.

The Taylorsville, Miss. native hit the two-run bomb over the left field wall with two outs in the eighth inning to give the Choctaws a series win over the Tornados.  On the week, Evans tallied a .375 batting average with three RBI.

Evans and the Choctaws will be back in action this weekend as they travel to Pineville, La. to face Louisiana College in a three-game series.  The series will begin with a single-game on Friday at 6:00 p.m. followed by a doubleheader on Saturday starting at noon.
