Junior softball player Brooke Smitherman went 3-for-3 with three home runs and five RBI to spearhead a 14-6 victory over Texas-Dallas.  In the series, she was walked 11 times and did not strike out to record a .750 batting average.

The Prattville, Ala. native tied an American Southwest Conference record with three home runs in a single-game.  She set  new conference record with eight total walks in two consecutive games.

Smitherman and the Lady Choctaws will be back in action on Tuesday as they travel across town to face Millsaps at 1:00 p.m.  MC will host Concordia Texas this weekend beginning with a doubleheader on Friday starting at 4:00 p.m. followed by a single-game on Saturday at noon at the MC Softball Complex.
