Sophomore defensive back Trace Lane helped lead the Mississippi College football team to their first win of the season with a 49-35 victory over Hardin-Simmons.

Lane returned two blocked punts for touchdowns, the first of which was a 40-yard sprint that tied the game at 28-28 at the end of the first half.  The second was a 25-yard return that gave the Choctaws the lead to open the second half.

Lane and the Choctaws will be back in action this weekend when they travel to Alpine, Texas to face Sul Ross State at 1:00 p.m.
