Junior men's basketball player Turmonte Ragland opened conference play with 34 total points in games against Howard Payne and Sul Ross.

The Millbrook, Ala. native tallied 14 points in a 76-70 win over Howard Payne.  He led the Choctaws with a season-high 20 points, shooting 8-10 from the floor,  in an 81-74 loss to Sul Ross.

Ragland and the Choctaws will continue conference play as they host Concordia (TX) on December 6th and Mary Hardin-Baylor on December 8th.
