Senior cross country runner Tino Gonzalez led the Choctaws with a time of 27:57 in the 8k to finish 11th overall in the LSU Invitational. He has the second best 8k time in the American Southwest Conference this year. The Choctaws finished fifth overall in the meet.

Gonzalez and the rest of the men's cross country team will compete in the MC/Watson Ford Invitational on October 5th on the Choctaw Trails at 5:15 p.m.
